Cataract and Refractive Surgery Fellowship
Theoretical-practical training program designed to acquire the necessary skills to successfully perform corrective procedures for cataract blindness.
This training is designed for ophthalmology doctors who have graduated from a residency program (of three years or longer), interested in deepening their knowledge of this technical area. During their training, each physician becomes part of the teaching hospital’s team, as a general ophthalmologist, partaking in a theoretical-practical program that will allow them to acquire the necessary skills to successfully perform corrective procedures for cataract blindness. Upon completion of their training, they will be authorized to perform this procedure without direct supervision.
