General description

Academic program with a theoretical-practical methodology, which includes face-to-face sessions with clinical simulations, offered by American Heart Association certified instructors, members of the AHA-UNIBE Authorized International Training Center.

Target audience

Health professionals and medical students

Course objective

Train healthcare students and professionals to identify life-threatening situations, learning the importance of time management in an emergency, such as in providing CPR, using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and mitigating airway obstruction in a safe and effective manner.

Course format

Hybrid (Blended) Learning


Online course which offers up-to-date theoretical information in accordance to the American Heart Association’s 2020 Guidelines. The methodology allows the participant to complete the course at their own pace, with videos, simulations and self-assessment questions during the development of the course content and includes a practical, face-to-face session for learning and skills assessment.

  • CPR and AED for Adults, Children and Infants
  • Bag-mask techniques for adults, children and infants
