Pre-Internship

The first part of the Clinical Sciences Cycle is the Pre-Internship. It corresponds to the 4th year of the curriculum and includes semesters 11, 12 and 13.

In order to enter the Pre-Internship Cycle, it is essential to have passed all the courses corresponding to the Basic Sciences Cycle. If their native language is not Spanish, students must take and pass a language proficiency test.

At the beginning of this cycle, students will participate in the "White Gown" ceremony, during which they receive a doctor’s gown with their name and the university logo on it, and sign the Hippocratic Oath, in which they pledge their commitment to patients and the values of bioethics, in front of their relatives and UNIBE’s academic authorities.

Internship

During the Internship Cycle, students have the opportunity to put into practice the acquired knowledge and develop clinical skills and abilities, through the execution of rotations in specialty areas within the different teaching hospitals with which the university is affiliated for such purposes.

Each rotation is organized to provide a complete educational experience, through rotations in two health centers of different characteristics and development, ensuring that the overall learning experience is similar for all students.
