Hospitality and Tourism in Beach Resort Destinations is a 2-week program that offers undergraduate and graduate students a unique study abroad opportunity to gain substantive knowledge on the challenges and complexities of the hospitality and tourism industries under the various models of beach resort destination management. The program includes study visits, hotel rotations and encounters with destination planners, resort managers, wholesale tour operators and hospitality entrepreneurs at the most successful beach destinations in the Dominican Republic´s southeastern coast (La Romana, Bayahibe, Cap Cana, and Punta Cana). Participants will experience a wide range of hospitality and tourism products offered either by small entrepreneurs at a local level, as part of an all-inclusive vacation plan, or through a tailor-made experience at a luxury resort. In addition, the program offers plenty of time for fun, learning, and discovery, including cultural sharing experiences, adventures, and excursions at the trendy touristic attractions in the country´s east coast.
