On July 12th and 13th we received the visit from Dr. Satish, Dean of the College of Business. Along with the dean, a visit from the Western Michigan University dual degree program faculty. They informed our BBA students and parents oh the majors that their programs offer and on future deadlines, and information on the transfers process for students that wish to go to WMU. In which we also had the pleasure of having Dr. Anne Veeck and Dr. Karen Lancendorfer, who discussed the advertising and promotions curriculum during the WMU visit.
Donations were received for kids in the “Centro Educativo Copa-Bombita” in the city of Barahona. As part of the preparation of the back to school season, the schools social responsibility was to collaborate to bring in back packs for low resource kids for this school year. International Business Week was 2 day event developed and designed by the International Business Students with Professor Jaime Mota and the Special Project Coordinator Anniete Cohn Lois, covering the importance of the bilateral commercial relationship between the Dominican Republic and the United Kingdom post Brexit.
Our BBA Students had the opportunity of having a meeting with Mr. Angel Wilmore as the Director Unibe Center for Entrepreneurship (CIDE) within the Entrepreneurship class with the professor Wayne Johnson, this meeting was about on how develop all the methodology used to set up a new business and how to create incubators for new business ideas.
