This recognition, which evaluates the commitment of universities to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), places Unibe alongside world-renowned institutions, for its transformative policies in equity, health, education and strategic alliances. Unibe's position in The Impact Rankings 2025 reflects the university's coordinated work in its core functions: teaching, research, and outreach.
Measurable impact, regional leadership
Out of a total of 2,526 universities evaluated in 130 countries, Unibe stood out as the highest-ranked Dominican university and holds one of the top positions in the entire Caribbean. Within the Latin American context, it is among the few universities in the region to rank in the world's top 50 for at least one Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), specifically SDG 5: Gender Equality, highlighting Unibe's commitment and concrete actions in the area of gender equality. In this regard, the university hosts the UNESCO Chair in Intersectional Gender Studies, awarded in 2022, and is conducting the only study on this topic currently funded by the National Fund for Innovation and Scientific and Technological Development (FONDOCYT). The university also stands out for its positioning in SDGs 3 Good Health and Well-being, 4 Quality Education, 10 Reduced Inequalities, and 17 Partnerships for the Goals.

The Interior Design School of Unibe, has been selected as a member of Cumulus AssociationThe leading global network of higher education institutions in the areas of Arts, Design, and Media. This association comprises distinguished universities and colleges that offer programs related to design, creativity, innovation, and interdisciplinary research. It promotes the Academic exchange, the international mobility, the sustainability and social responsibility, knowledge sharing and collaboration, development y academic leadership in the fields of art and design.

The Licensing of Health Facilities and Services is a procedure developed by the Ministry of Public Health of the Dominican Republic, in accordance with the provisions established in General Health Law No. 42-01 and Regulation No. 1138-03 on the Licensing of Health Services and Facilities. Its purpose is to ensure that health facilities and services meet the minimum and specific conditions regarding their physical, human, structural, and operational resources, to guarantee that the population receives quality health services.
The Ibero-American University (Unibe), committed to the quality of the health services it offers through the Dental Clinic, the Unibe Center for Studies and Intervention of Behavior (CESIC), and the Unibe Diagnostic Imaging Center (IDU), has obtained the Accreditation License issued by the Ministry of Public Health, which certifies it as suitable to provide the following health services:

The license for the use of ionizing radiation is a process regulated by the National Energy Commission (CNE), in accordance with the provisions of the General Electricity Law No. 125-01, the Radiological Protection Standard for Authorizations for Practices Associated with the Use of Ionizing Radiation (Resolution CNE-AD-0006-2023) and the Standard for the Physical Security of Radioactive Sources, including their Transport (Resolution CNE-AD-0036-2013).
Under Resolution No. CNE-DNU-0698-2024, the Ibero-American University (Unibe) has obtained the license issued by the National Energy Commission (CNE) for the operation of the Unibe Diagnostic Imaging Center (IDU), authorized to offer the Imaging Service, which includes periapical X-rays, panoramic X-rays and dental tomography.

The UNESCO Chairs program is designed to enable higher education or research institutions to generate knowledge in UNESCO priority areas. The UNESCO Chair in Intersectional Gender Studies was awarded to Unibe in January of 2022. This project seeks to generate knowledge about women's experiences considering factors such as ethnicity and socioeconomic position, and their impact on psychological well-being.

The UNITWIN Programme and UNESCO Chairs began in 1992 and currently brings together more than 700 institutions in 116 countries. The programme fosters cooperation and inter-university links worldwide, with the aim of strengthening institutional capacities through knowledge exchange and collaboration in UNESCO's areas of expertise: education, natural and social sciences, culture, and communication.
Thousands of people live with disabilities. Our society imposes structural and social barriers that prevent these individuals from actively participating in their communities, limiting opportunities and access to basic services. Unibe is committed to promoting actions for the inclusion of people with disabilities and the full enjoyment of their rights in all aspects of national life.
The Unibe UNESCO Chair project aims to create institutional actions, foster collaboration and coordinated management between institutions for the training of professionals, provision of services, research and the promotion of inclusion in the social, academic and working life of people with disabilities and specific educational support needs.

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) is a global non-profit association dedicated to strengthening the advancement of education through alumni relations, institutional communication, development, marketing, and advancement services. It also promotes education as a driver of transformation for lives and society.
CASE brings together more than 3,600 universities, colleges, and schools in over 80 countries. To fulfill its mission and meet both individual and societal needs, technology institutions, universities, and private schools depend on, and therefore must cultivate, goodwill, active participation, informed advocacy, and lasting support from alumni, donors, prospective students, parents, community leaders, business executives, foundation officials, and members of other external stakeholder groups.
CASE helps its members build stronger relationships with all these groups in a variety of ways. Being part of this network positions Unibe in a space of leadership, collaboration, and continuous growth.

AACRAO is a voluntary, non-profit professional association working to make higher education more student-responsive. With over 18,000 higher education professionals from approximately 2,300 institutions in more than 40 countries, collectively representing over 16,5 million enrolled students, the association provides advocacy, research, and policy-based guidance and training to higher education professionals to facilitate students' pathways at all stages of their educational journey.
