What is Kaplan? How and who started it in US and DR?

For over 60 years and more Stanley H. Kaplan creates the Kaplan philosophy so that the students could have a successful educative experience. With its methods and unique style, he started to help students to prepare themselves for the standardized examinations of the United States. Their innovating strategies and instructive programs by matter helped the students to demonstrate their true capacities through the exams. Kaplan-UNIBE began in 1994-1995, by an initiative of the Dr. Julio Castaños, offering today the preparation of a 3-step series of exams that are required to become licensed to practice medicine in the United States (USMLE), a 2-part examination that are required to obtain a license to practice dentistry (NBDE), the preparation of its Graduated Programs: Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), the Graduate Record Examination for other faculties (GRE) like: Veterinary Medicine, Psychology, Engineering, Education, among others; and the SAT Reasoning Test that help our students for college.

What services does Kaplan offer at its UNIBE Center?

These programs are for students or professionals who wish to maximize their score potential. Each student will have his or her own personalized study plan, home study materials and access to online resources. Classes consist of diagnostic exam experiences to pin point strengths and weaknesses (on all preparations) and sessions of intense content and strategy review. Workshops videos (SAT, GMAT, GRE) and additional practice tests are available in the center (USMLE, NBDE, GMAT, GRE, SAT)
Our multiple program offered includes from a series Live attendances programs (not available in all the programs in the Dominican Republic), programs based on videos (that each student observes individually) and the designed on line, that is on the Internet for greater flexibility and convenience (you can directly acquire it on the Internet in www.kaptest.com). We have a program that matches your lifestyle and contrasts with its time.

Financial Aid

Kaplan works with the new SLM Career Loan that has a minimum loan balance requirement of $500 and now allows PreCollege students to apply for loans for KTPA courses. Another expanded loan activity is that students may apply for loans to cover online courses that meet the minimum balance requirement. How to Register?

Formal admission to the university is not required. You may register as follows: In person in the campus center, by phone or email.

Payment Options

We accept all the major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, A/X, Discover), checks (personal, travelers, and bank) and money orders. Checks payable to Kaplan.

No one can start the course without paying in full.

Kaplan Center Hours

The center opens from Monday thru Friday from 9:00 am thru 9:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am thru 6:00 pm. We close on holidays.
